Hi, I'm Isa
Since 2018, I’ve been helping students bridge the gap between knowing Spanish rules and actually feeling like themselves when they speak.
Formal training:
B.A. in Hispanic Literature
Lic. en Letras Hispánicas
M.A. in Applied Linguistics
Maestría
Specialized ELE Training
Diplomado
Over the years, I’ve taught across a wide range of environments, from premier institutions like UNAM (CEPE) to secondary schools in France and private students from all over the world.
I know what it’s like to lose your real voice in a new language.
My years in France were deeply important to me because living there taught me firsthand what it feels like to struggle when speaking a language you haven’t fully mastered. I felt stupid at times, as if I wasn’t truly myself and a big part of my personality simply vanished. What made it worse wasn’t the language itself, but the lack of patience from the people around me. I never forgot that feeling. I had always cared deeply about my students, but that experience made me double down on creating a truly safe space where my students could make mistakes without fear.
That's why I created this project
In Mexico, apapacho comes from the Nahuatl word patzoa, and we use it to describe a deep, comforting hug. It goes beyond a simple squeeze; it’s about offering warmth, care, and real support.
That is the very heart of my teaching. To me, language is a bridge that connects different worlds, removes prejudice, and brings people together.
In my classes, you will get:
💚A safe space to fail: A judgment-free environment where you can make mistakes without fear and build real, lasting confidence.
💚Grammar in context: No memorizing isolated lists. You’ll learn how native speakers actually use grammar and vocabulary in everyday conversations.
💚Cultural exchange: Since I love to travel, learning about your culture while sharing mine is at the core of every lesson—it’s like traveling without ever leaving the classroom.
